Rob Bean: Chief Paddle Operator

Rob is an ordinary, outdoorsy-kind of guy who loves paddling and helping others. He lives in Fort Collins with his wife, Tracey, and two wonderful children, Megan and Lucas. He’s originally from Ohio, where his passion for paddling took hold as a teenager. And you name it – canoeing, kayaking, sculling, rafting – Rob was doing it. Even during the winter months.

During the day he’s the interactive director at Burns Marketing Communications (www.burnsmarketing.com). And when he’s not working or spending time with his family, he’s training for The Big Moo Canoe.

Chris and Dawn Betz: Team Captains
A feat as big as the Big Moo Canoe requires a little help. Things like pre-event promotion, sponsorships, and logistics. Plus some moral support. That's where Chris and Dawn come in.

Dawn is a pretty talented geographer, and currently looking for a full-time GIS/cartography job in northern Colorado. Mother of a turtle, two cats, and a very handsome black lab, Dawn enjoys crafting, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Chris is an outdoor enthusiast and a self-described fly fishing addict. And he's known to always keep a bocce set in his truck. When he's not fishing, you might find Chris hiking, biking, camping, or golfing.

Chris and Dawn moved to Colorado in 1999 from Annapolis, Maryland, and are excited to support Rob in his personal challenge.

Megan Bean: Fundraiser
Megan is Rob's six year old daughter who joined The Big Moo Canoe team in late-February after a presentation about Heifer at church. She has decided to donate some of her own money and also work to raise $260 to purchase two goats in connection with the project. Her interests include art, dancing, school and canoeing with her Dad.

Lucas Bean: Fundraiser
Lucas is Rob's 3 year old son who joined The Big Moo Canoe team in late-April when he realized he could stand up in front of the church with his big sister and talk about bees. He is going to work to raise $60 to purchase a whole bunch of bees for someone who lives a long way away. Lucas likes to play with dinosaurs, Hot Wheels, throw balls and play with more dinosaurs.
