The Big Moo Canoe Kick-off Day at First United Methodist Church.
May 4, 2008: First United Methodist Church in Fort Collins, CO played host to the kick-off event for The Big Moo Canoe for Heifer International. Rob Bean (Chief Paddling Officer), Chris Betz (Team captain), Megan Bean (Rob's daughter) and Lucas Bean (Rob's son) made a special presentation at each of the four Sunday services to make the congregation aware of the challenge. Between services the crew met with church members and explained more about the project, the equipment used and the logistics of the event. The team is pleased to announce that several hundred dollars were raised in just a couple hours for Heifer International. The team will be setup in the Fellowship Hall on May 11th and June 1st as well. Team Moo Canoe appreciates all of the support and encouragement that have been expressed by the members of First United Methodist Church of Fort Collins, CO.
