   Profile of hope

Heifer International - Urban Agriculture in New York

A 13-year-old East New York Farms youth member, Joemi Regalado, poses with lettuce at the project's community garden.

Joemi Regalado says, "I like to work at the market and sell stuff. That's the best part of the project. Everything leftover from the market we give to the church but we are also allowed to take some food home to our families. Everyone likes to buy things from our garden because they see where it is grown and know where it came from. This makes me proud."

The Big Moo Canoe at Missouri River 340 (MR340)

Date: August 24-27
Location: Kansas City, MO - St. Louis, MO
Join the herd and follow the Big Moo Canoe team as they participate in the Missouri River 340. The MR340 is an "ultra-marathon" canoe challenge that will take place from August 24-27, from Kansas City, MO, to St. Charles, MO.

Through this experience we hope to bring awareness to the life-changing work Heifer International does worldwide. Please take a few minutes to learn more about the project, donate, and then join us on the river (even if just virtually). Your gift to Heifer is a tangible way to fight world hunger and poverty.
